“All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 MSG)

Christianity is not about “me”. We are to be there for one another to help each other get through the hard times. We need to learn perseverance to both get through the hard times and help others through theirs. Two of the building blocks of perseverance are being resolute and being resilient. Being resolute, we are determined to win no matter the obstacles. We’re going to run into big obstacles that will knock us down. Resilience tells us to get back up and keep going.
