“Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seed. As he scattered it across his field, some of the seed fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate it.” (Mark 4:3-4 NLT) God has made our “soil” fertile, so when seed falls it will grow. But when seed falls along the path, it might seem insignificant to us. “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…” (Zechariah 4:10 NLT). But the small things are not insignificant–they can change the course of your life. “And though you started with little, you will end with much.” (Job 8:7 NLT) The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. Never take that first step for granted, no matter how small it might seem. What are the small beginnings in your life? Discover more in this teaching by Pastor Joel Pagett.
