“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
John 10:10 NLT
A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” John 10:10 MSG
God wants us to have a full and satisfied life… Every day!
I wish I had the courage to live my life for myself… Not living someone else’s expectations for me.
“Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.” He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ” Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?” But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.” John 5:2-15
The man had become complacent… Comfortable in his weakness… For 38 years… He had not found a way to get to the pool of water for his healing. He wasn’t ready for a change… He wanted others to do for him…
“And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.” Mark 3:5 NKJV
We must move in our weakness! We must figure out a way to get to that healing water… We must not allow our circumstances control us… Even when we are not actively seeking God… He is there!
God wants us to live a better life… To learn to make peace for our past… To have relationship with Father God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit….
“And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.” John 5:9 NKJV
We have to make a choice… Then we have to move… We need to do… We must act. Faith, focus and live.
God loves who we are… In our differences… All of who we are…
He wants to use you, to motivate you to rise and walk!
