How it all started...
Reliance began on July 19, 2008 with our first public gathering, a prayer meeting at our home in Chino. A small group of people felt led to partner in the planting of a church in the Inland Empire. Our dream was to be a church where everyone felt welcomed and wanted, where people discovered something real, relevant, and refreshing, and where people felt at home, all barriers removed, a comfortable place to discover God’s best for our lives. We continue to strive to be that church.
A group of thirty core leaders began what has now become Reliance Community Church. From our beginning, we decided to let the mission drive this church. As easy as it is to fall into the church rut of, “What can this church do for me?” We chose to ask this question, “What does God want this church to do for Him?” The vision of Reliance is to be a church where the spiritually uninvolved, unconvinced and the unconnected can discover, at their own speed, who God is and what He can do for their lives. We are committed to breaking down every barrier that hinders people from discovering God’s great love for them.
On January 3, 2009 we arrived in the City of Upland and have been thrilled to be a part of this great city. We have not just accepted being a church in the city but instead an active support to the programs in the City of Upland. Our heart continues to reach out to those in our wider community by bringing practical help, support, and the unconditional love of God. We know that one of the keys to being a part of a city is by offering people hope, encouraging them to believe in themselves and showing them a different way to live through simply being authentic.
On April 24, 2016 we moved to the City of Ontario and are thrilled to bring the love of Christ to the surrounding community. We look forward to new challenges as we expand our children’s and youth ministries, and God provides new opportunities for supporting the people in our community.

Where we are headed...
Reliance Community Church is a Church that is lead by the Holy Spirit and we look forward to what God has planned for us and our congregation. People matter to us and we seek to train and release them to live out Gods plan for them. We will always pray and seek Gods Divine guidance and wisdom for what is next for us as a church in the upcoming seasons.
