The Facilities team is responsible for just that – setting up Reliance Community’s facility for Sunday worship services. While this ministry may seem less than glamorous, it enables each service to run smoothly and directs all the glory to God.
Who are we?
The Facilities team is composed of young and old, new believers and older believers who have taken interest in providing for the church body in a “behind-the-scenes” kind of way. This includes setting up on Sunday mornings, before the service and taking them down after service – the physical, necessary duties that allow the church to gather every Sunday.
Why should you serve?
A better question may be, “why not serve?” From the time you enter Reliance Community you are greeted by volunteers, and everything that you see set up did not just happen on its own. Volunteers in this ministry are motivated to service because of what God has done for them and to see the church become all God designed her to be.
What kind of volunteers are we looking for?
This is a unique service opportunity that is open to everyone. Volunteers don’t need to be church members nor is there any training involved – just show up ready to be put to work. Volunteer by yourself, or with a friend. The more people who sign up, the smoother the setup and teardown processes go and the more fun volunteers have doing it.
What is the time commitment?
Setting up happens on Sunday mornings at 6:30 a.m. and takes about 60-90 minutes to complete. Tear down takes place after the Sunday service concludes and takes about a half-hour. The ideal number of volunteers for each team is anywhere from 5-7 people. There are light-duty tasks that require little strength and heavy-duty tasks for the showoffs!
The most important piece is that we have a faithful group of volunteers showing up on a regular basis.
